Troy M. DeVoe '02

Troy DeVoe ’02 is the all-time leading rusher in Ripon College football history with 4,117 career rushing yards. He also holds the school record for All-Purpose Yards (4,524) and is tied for second in program history with 39 rushing touchdowns. DeVoe’s 252 career points ranks fourth on Ripon’s all-time scoring list, just 12 points shy of the all-time record. A three-time All-Conference First Team selection, DeVoe was named Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) Private College Player of the Year in 2000 and holds three of the top six single-season rushing totals in school history.  Originally from Oshkosh, he currently resides in Winneconne, where he is a district manager for Starbucks. He and his wife, Rebecca, have a son, Brandon.

Nicholas M. Johnson '03

     

Nicholas M. Johnson ’03 lettered in both baseball and basketball at Ripon College, but it was as a pitcher and centerfielder that he stood out, ending his career as runner-up for NCAA Division-III National Player of the Year. A four-time All-Conference First Team selection, Johnson was named Midwest Conference Player of the Year three times (2000, 2001 and 2003) and MWC Pitcher of the Year in 2003, leading Ripon to two MWC Championships and three NCAA postseason appearances. He also was a two-time All-American and three-time All-Region selection. Ten years after his graduation, Johnson still holds Ripon’s career records for runs scored (180), home runs (42), RBI (183), total bases (401), and walks (91). His single-season school records for batting average (.545), hits (79), RBI (63), total bases (141) and slugging percentage (.972) also still stand today. As a basketball player, Johnson was a part of two MWC Championship basketball teams, while helping Ripon to two NCAA tournament appearances. A native of Prescott, Wis., Johnson currently is a physical education teacher and varsity boys basketball coach and assistant varsity baseball coach with the Prescott Public Schools. He and his wife, Beth, live in Prescott.

Karin A. Kedrowski '03

A two-sport student-athlete in tennis and basketball at Ripon College, Karin Kedrowski ’03 was an All-Conference performer in both sports. As a tennis player, she won the 2001 Midwest Conference number three doubles championship with partner Etta Hilligoss Schwirtz ‘04. A three-time MWC First Team selection and All-American Honorable Mention her senior season on the basketball court, Kedrowski finished her career with a school record 154 3-pointers. She also ranks third in both scoring (1,274) and steals (189).  Kedrowski lives in her hometown of Stevens Point, Wis., where she is an ETL developer in the IT department for Sentry Insurance.

Andrea L. Wepner '96

Andrea L. Wepner ’96 excelled on the softball field and basketball court during her career at Ripon College. As a catcher, she was a four-time All-Conference performer and finished her career with a .378 batting average, 109 hits, 71 RBI, 21 doubles, six triples, four home runs and 38 walks, all of which still rank in the top 10 in program history. As a basketball player, Wepner was part of the program’s first-ever Midwest Conference Championship. Seventeen years after her graduation, Wepner still ranks in the top 10 in program history for 3-pointers (60) and assists (248).  Originally from Ripon, Andrea currently resides in Milwaukee, where she is a lead family engagement specialist at St. Aemilian-Lakeside, a human services agency.

William M. Swartz II '99

William M. “Billy” Swartz '99 was a three-sport athlete at Ripon College, competing in soccer, track and basketball. As a member of four Midwest Conference Championship teams (two in basketball and two in soccer), Swartz was named Ripon College Male Athlete of the Year during the 1997-98 school year. Swartz had an extraordinary impact on the men’s soccer program as a player and then as head coach, as he was a part of the program’s first four MWC Championships. Swartz, who graduated as Ripon’s all-time leading goal scorer, was a four-time All-Conference performer on the soccer field. After leading the team to its first two conference championships in 1997 and 1998, Swartz became the team’s head coach the following year, leading them to two more conference championships and the program’s first two NCAA Tournament berths in 1999 and 2000. He was named MWC Men’s Soccer Coach of the Year in 2000. Originally from Waukesha, Wis., Swartz currently is a physical education and health teacher and head basketball coach at Waukesha South High School. He and his wife, Emmylou (Litschke) ‘97, live in Wauwatosa with their two children, Morgan, 7, and Summerlyn, 4.
