Robert's Rules of Order is the most commonly utilized set of Parliamentary Procedures in the United States (according to Wikipedia). It outlines protocol and courtesies for voting bodies to follow, and is an indispensable tool for running a meeting. There are currently 11 editions published, the most recent of which governs the Student Senate. This .pdf is of the 2nd edition, meaning that there are differences, but not major ones, in its contents versus the official guide for the Senate.
