1) The History of Ripon College

Room B12, Lower Level, S.N. Pickard Commons

Ripon College has been teaching students since 1851. This session will look at changes and continuities in the college’s goals, in student life, and in the campus itself.  There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.

2) Off-Campus Study Programs

Dahm Heritage Room, S.N. Pickard Commons

Associate Dean of Faculty and Registrar Michele Wittler will lead a discussion by students who have participated in off-campus programs. They will discuss opportunities and benefits.   Parent questions are especially welcomed.

3) The Value of a Liberal Arts Education

Mihaly Room, S.N. Pickard Commons

Dean of Faculty Jerry Seaman discusses the benefits of a Ripon College education, its impact on your student’s future, and why majors don’t necessarily predict career choice.

ALL CAMPUS BBQ PICNIC/TAILGATE

Memorial Green Space (Rain site: S.N. Pickard Commons)

An informal lunch where current students and parents will have an opportunity to meet President David Joyce, faculty, and Parent Board members before cheering on the Red Hawk football team. President $6.75,Joyce will address the group promptly at Noon. This event is free for families and guests, but please pre-register.  Current students must swipe.

PRAIRIE WORK PROJECT, CERESCO PRAIRIE CONSERVANCY

Skip Wittler, professor of biology, will lead a group seed collecting in the Ceresco Prairie Conservancy. Enjoy the fall flora and fauna! Dress appropriately. (Meet at the Kegel Classroom-follow the signs starting at the west corner of the parking lot behind Storzer Center.)
